I was born in India, where there are so many places to visit, so many things to do, and the best part is the food. There are so many exciting opportunities to show off your talents, and many different languages that people speak. And no, 'Indian' is not a language! In fact Indians speak a variety of languages :
- . English
- · Hindi
- · Marathi
- · Tamil (One of the oldest languages in the world!)
- · Telugu
- · Malayalam
- · Bengali
- · Urdu
- · Kannada
- · Gujarati
- · Odia
- · Punjabi
- · Assamese
- · Maithili
- · Bhil/ Bhilodi
- · Santali
- · Kashmiri
- · Sanskrit (One of the oldest languages in the world!)
- · Nepali
- · Gondi
- · Sindhi
- · Konkani
I speak Hindi, Marathi, Konkani other than English and Japanese, and I am also trying to learn French and American Sign Language.
People in India also wear different types of clothes based on which part of India they belong to. India's traditional music comprises of a variety of instruments and different music styles, different styles of dances, songs, and more! Indian food is not just about curries and Naan. Food also varies based on the region, customs and staple produce of each part of India. If you think about it seriously, each region of India is like a whole country by itself.
Indian cinema is the world’s largest film industry as it produces the most movies in the world in a year. It consists of several movie industries within itself. The most famous of them is Bollywood – the industry that produces Hindi Movies. Some other language movies are produced in their own special movie industry- Kollywood, Tollywood, Sandalwood etc. India also has its many music companies, for example T-series, which has made many music pieces for Indian movies and other occasions too. T-series was in the news a few years ago because of the contest with 'PewDiePie'.
I take pride in identifying myself as an Indian, but another interesting fact about me is that I have lived most of my life outside India! I will be posting more that appreciate the other places I have lived in and what my experiences living in different countries has taught me.
